In this project sterile draperies in the operating theatres of plastic and reconstructive surgery are investigated as cultural technique. The aim of this unconventional approach is the illumination of a variety of transformation processes of human vitality and emotionality during surgical interventions. Therefore for hygienic reasons used garments and wrappings will be analyzed as socio-culturally formed phenomenon.
