September 29, 2017 (9:00-16:15)

Event details:

In the last project of the Social Sciences and Humanities programme (financed by the City of Vienna), issued in 2013, six projects have been funded. The projects are currently finishing of their work and yielded very interesting results. The list of projects can be found here

The project engaged with the topic of public spaces in a multi-faceted way and thus demonstrate the diversity of SSH research in Vienna. One time, it is about Mongolian artefacts which travelled to a Viennese museum in the 19th century. One time, it is about the multiple forms of gardening in urban spaces, another time, it is about transnational traffic nodes Central and Eastern Europe at which goods are exchanged and people are moving.

On September 29, 2017 (all-day) the project teams will present results from their projects and discuss them with international experts - experts who were in the selection jury of the projects in the first place: Georgina Born (Oxford), Virginie Guiraudon (Paris, SciencePo) and Harald Rohracher (Linköping University).

All interested persons are cordially invited to participate.

The event will take place in English language.
